Tom Nida has served as Senior Vice President and DC Regional Executive for John Marshall Bank since October, 2016. In a banking career that now spans more than 50 years, Nida previously served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Community Development & Non-Profit Banking for United Bank, from which he retired in September, 2016.
Tom is active in the local community, currently serving as Board Chair of Charter Schools Development Corporation, a national non-profit developer of facilities for public charter schools, as well as Chair of its Executive and Credit Committees. He is also an Advisor to the DC Students Construction Trades Foundation, and is a member of DCBIA and HAND. Nida served as Chair of the DC Public Charter School Board from 2004 to 2010. He has also previously served on the Boards of the Washington DC Economic Partnership and the Greater Washington Board of Trade.
Tom also served as a guest lecturer at Georgetown University Law School and the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and has published a number of articles in the RMA Journal, a national finance publication. He graduated from the School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin and completed an Executive Program at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
