Middle School Expo 2022 Recap

Every year, Rocketship Bay Area’s Family Recruitment team holds a Middle School Expo for 4th and 5th grade families to learn about different school options available in their communities, hear from educators and other parents, and make an informed decision regarding their student’s education.

Oftentimes, parents choose the closest middle school to their home because it feels familiar and convenient. However, choosing the right fit for your child is an important part of their educational journey. A student’s performance in middle school determines which high schools will later be options for them, which in turn plays a big part in deciding which colleges a student can eventually attend. We make it our job to ensure our Rocketship families are still presented with all the information they need to make a confident decision of which middle school is the best fit for their child. This year, our expo was virtual and we invited 9 middle schools to share what makes their schools different!

In this webinar, school leaders from each of the nine schools discussed their values & core pillars, extracurricular club and sport options, as well as before and after-school programs, helping parents decide which school is the best fit for their child’s development as a whole, outside of just academia.
