Rocketship California Celebrates Día de los Muertos

In November, Rocketship California celebrated Día de los Muertos across our 13 campuses! Rocketship Fuerza Community Prep hosted its 10th annual community Día de los Muertos celebration, with elected officials and hundreds of families and community members in attendance.

Fostering a culturally-responsive school environment in which our parents are seen as true partners is essential to our model. Family interactions at our school campuses matter. We strive to create spaces of community and a foundation for trust, power, and relationships. And we build authentic relationships with families that are rooted in a culturally responsive approach and vulnerability. In short, affirming the cultures of our Rocketeers inside and outside the classroom is at the heart of what we do.
