Genzel found his passion in education while teaching dance in his hometown of Dinuba, CA where he began to see the unlimited potential in his students. He began his work with Rocketship as a 3rd grade humanities teacher at Rocketship Fuerza Community Prep in 2019. Then after teaching 2 strong years in 3rd grade, Genzel became an assistant principal at Fuerza in 2021. Genzel joined the Rocketship Redwood City community in 2023. He is a passionate leader and educator who is committed to ensuring all students have a high-quality holistic education. Genzel is known for bringing joy and positivity through inclusive school culture on any campus he’s on. Genzel holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Arizona State University and a Master’s Degree in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University.
