Eric Dailey, Executive Director, Tennessee

Eric Dailey is an accomplished education executive with approximately 15 years of experience shaping systems improvements and student outcomes within public education. As Executive Director for Rocketship Tennessee and a member of Rocketship Public Schools’ national leadership team, he is responsible for fostering coherence and impact across the organization’s efforts in Tennessee encompassing three campuses serving over 1,500 students.

Eric’s immediate past position was with TNTP, a leading education consulting and research organization, as Managing Partner. In this role, Eric set organizational strategy, managed and developed senior consulting staff, and oversaw a $20 million consulting portfolio impacting more than half a million young people across more than 40 state and district departments of education in the Southeast.

Before joining TNTP, Eric served as Vice President and Interim Executive Director at Teach For America Nashville-Chattanooga. Eric oversaw the region’s growth, increasing the organization’s reach, impact, revenue, and partnerships across middle and east Tennessee, making the region one of the fastest growing in the TFA network and the most effective educator prep program in the state. Eric began his career as a middle school literacy teacher and has served as an assistant principal and principal at the elementary and secondary levels.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Eric graduated from the North Little Rock School District in central Arkansas. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Rhodes College and a Master of Education in Education Leadership from the University of Southern California. Eric is a national Truman scholar and engaged in ongoing doctoral research focused on how governing systems in education can drive meaningful change.
