Ms. Graves is resident of Ward seven and a founding parent at Rocketship Rise Academy. She is dedicated to closing the achievement gap through her work as a member of Rise Academy’s Parent Leadership Team. She has also worked with groups like the DC Department of Transportation (DDOT) to improve traffic safety around the school and was greatly instrumental to Rocketship joining mobilization efforts in community support of Rocketship Public Schools’ second campus; Legacy Prep at the Public Space Commission.

She chose Rocketship for her Rocketeer because she believes it will prepare her daughter for college and many other quality life options for her future.

Ms. Graves is currently pursuing a bachelors in Business Communications at the University of the District of Columbia.
