Danny Etcheverry is the Interim Principal of Rocketship Spark Academy and the Bay Area Director of Schools for Rocketship Public Schools. Before taking on a regional leadership position, Danny served as principal at Rocketship Mosaic Elementary for six years. Prior to joining Rocketship, Danny served as the founding Director of Instruction for Metropolitan Lighthouse Charter School in the South Bronx.  Prior to his move into school leadership, Danny was a teacher in Brooklyn, NY and he also taught at an independent school overseas in Rome, Italy.  He has also worked as an adjunct professor of Education at LIU’s Brooklyn campus.  Above all, he is the proud parent of Rocketeer at Rocketship Mosaic!

Danny received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he majored in both Theater and Ethnic Studies.  He earned his Master’s degree in education from Long Island University, and was a member of Relay Graduate School of Education’s National Principals Academy Fellowship.
