With over a decade of experience in education and leadership, Principal Carr is deeply committed to ensuring that every scholar has access to an excellent education. Before joining Rocketship, Principal Carr served as a school leader in both charter and district schools, most recently as a principal at KIPP Nashville Public Schools. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to academic excellence, equity, and innovation, leading high-performing teams and empowering educators to reach their full potential. His expertise spans executive coaching, teacher development, curriculum design, and data-driven instruction—all of which will support RLP’s mission to develop lifelong learners and engaged citizens.

Principal Carr believes that every Legacy Rocketeer has boundless potential, which flourishes through rigorous academics, strong character development, and meaningful opportunities for growth. He is eager to collaborate with students, families, and staff to create a joyful and enriching school community.

Denon Carr holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University and a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law.
