Lisamarie is a dedicated educator committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds, have equal access to quality education. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, she embarked on her journey in education as a New York City Teaching Fellow in The Bronx, NY, where she taught elementary school for ten years. Later, she transitioned to a charter school in Brooklyn, serving as a fourth-grade Humanities teacher and grade team leader. Driven by a desire to have a broader impact, she advanced to the role of Dean of Instruction, overseeing grades two through five and achieving the network’s highest math scores within three years. In 2017, Lisamarie relocated to San Jose, CA, where she held various leadership positions, including Assistant Principal, Principal, and Executive Director. As Principal, she successfully navigated the challenges of Remote Learning and secured a five-year Charter Renewal for her school. In April 2024, Lisamarie joined Rocketship Public Schools as a Rising Principal and now proudly serves as the Principal of Rocketship Spark Academy.
