In 2022, we celebrated the 15 year anniversary of Rocketship Public Schools. What started as an innovative idea to rethink elementary education has grown into a nationwide collective of parents, teachers, leaders, supporters and students working together to transform the future for underserved communities. And while so much has changed in public education over the past 15 years, our steadfast commitment to put relationships at the center of our school model continues to drive our impact today just as it did when we opened our first school in a church in downtown San Jose.

• Our second class of Rocketeers graduated from college and set out to change the world.
• A timeline charting our course from opening our first school in 2007 to launching our fifth region in Texas.
• The diversity of our team reflects the rich diversity of the students we serve – 78% of Rocketship teachers and leaders identify as educators of color.
• Impactful displays of Parent Power in every Rocketship region.

We’ve made a remarkable impact in our first 15 years, but Rocketship is still a work in progress. Just like the Rocketeers we serve, we never stop learning. We never stop thinking about how we can innovate new ways to serve our students, develop our talent, and support our parents to exercise their power as advocates for equity and excellence in their community.
