Our Community Has Something to Say in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Rocketship Washington DC community has a message for you. This past summer, DC school leaders, teachers, parents, and students came together in the wake of George Floyd’s murder to create space for the community to vocalize that Black Lives Matter. The speeches given at this virtual event were incredibly inspiring, two of which are featured below. Amidst these troubling times, we’re grateful for our school leaders who continuously speak honestly, give us hope, and remind us all that change is coming, and that change starts with us.
