Rocketeers Share Their Dreams for The Future

We’ve made oracy a big focus at our schools in the 2017-2018 school year. By teaching our Rocketeers how to express themselves clearly and fluently, they are learning critical language and social skills that will help them succeed in school and life.

So we decided to create a little oracy competition between our schools here in San Jose.   We asked our Rocketeers to write and present a speech that answers one simple question: “What are your dreams for the future?”

Here’s what they said…

By showing our Rocketeers that we believe in their potential from the moment they start school, they believe in themselves. They learn that failure isn’t a judgement on their ability, but a chance to grow stronger. They learn that they are in control of their future. They learn to love learning. And they learn to never stop learning.
