Virtual Graduation in Photos: Celebrating Our 2020 #RocketshipGrads
by Beyond Editorial Team
2020 brought the unexpected, but we did it once again, Rocketeers! The school year has ended. The hats have been decorated, the last teachers have been hugged–well virtually–and one of the toughest school years has come to an end. Amidst the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, we all had to adapt to a new normal. Watch how our teachers and students quickly implemented distance learning and kept innovating, learning, and thriving together as one community.
Our Rocketeers have shown persistence, responsibility, creative adaptability, empathy, and strength through these difficult times. From fun social media challenges to keep morale high, to neighborhood cleanups (with masks of course), to car processions to thank teachers, our Rocketeers are living our core values and we couldn’t be more honored to say so. And when the world erupted in Black Lives Matter protests in response to the murder of George Floyd by the hands of police, our communities came together to join in, raise their voices and stand up for what is right.
There are still so many accomplishments to celebrate, and we’ve watched as 6 ft. apart measures make for the most creative approaches to safety, while still showcasing how truly proud we all are of our Rocketeer families!
While we couldn’t celebrate our graduates in-person this year, below are some #RocketshipGrad photos our families shared with us online and a look back at first days of school and last days of school in the #RocketshipNowAndThen challenge.
